Maryanne Reed

I am a historian by training, with an MA in History, as well as ABD status for a History PhD (comprehensive fields: 19th and 20th Century Europe, 20th Century Canada, European Cultural History). I have now spent the past decade as a freelancer offering comprehensive academic writing services, including back-of-book indexing, research services, proofreading, and citation editing. I am proficient in the Chicago Manual of Style (18th ed.), APA (7th ed.), and MLA (9th ed.), and have completed the Simon Fraser University indexing course.

I love to work with scholars at all stages of their projects, and am always up for a challenge. My indexing projects have included books on Victorian Literary Studies and Classics (including a forthcoming textbook on Ancient Greece), and my most frequent editing and tutoring clients are graduate students in Social Work and Education programs. I love to learn fields of research outside of my own, and would love to take on your next project.
