Ruth Pincoe has more than thirty-five years experience as a freelance editor, indexer, and researcher. She now works mainly as an indexer and specializes in scholarly publications in the fields of music, literature, history, art, and theatre. She also has extensive background in both trade and educational publishing and continues a sub-specialty in culinary books. She has served as national president of both the Indexing Society of Canada / Société canadienne d’indexation and the Editors’ Association of Canada/Association canadienne des réviseurs, and was International Coordinator for the International Committee of Representatives of Indexing Societies.
