Brave New Word

I have over a decade of experience in writing back-of-the-book indexes for university presses worldwide. I specialize in monographs and multi-authored scholarly publications in the areas of critical humanities and social science research. Subjects include Asian history, Black history, biometric technology, Canadian history, cultural studies, environmental studies and resource management, feminist theory, film and media studies, French history, gender and identity studies, Indigenous Peoples, geography, labour politics, and Marxist philosophy.  I also have a working background in editing and proofreading, and cartography. In addition to indexing, I provide freelance cartographic services. I design maps for public, private and commercial use. My formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, Environment and Resource Management from the University of Toronto, and a Post-graduate Certification in Digital Geography, Cartography and GIS from Ryerson University.
